Didim is situated on the Aegean Coast and it located on the outskirts of Altinkum.  The Aegean Coast has turquoise seas and golden sands.  Didim is shaped as a peninsula surrounding Mulga on the east coast.  According to legend, the name Didim comes from the word ‘Didyma’, that means ‘twin’.  It refers to the twin God and Goddess, Apollo and Artemis, who were supposedly born there.
